VistaPrint Expands Canadian Manufacturing Plant

Press release from the issuing company

(September 11, 2008) VistaPrint Limited, the small business marketing company, today announced that it is expanding its state-of-the-art production facility in Windsor, Ontario for the second time since 2005. The expansion plans will include almost 140,000 square feet of additional space built out for both manufacturing and office use. This expansion marks a commitment to the area and the people of Windsor, which have been dedicated partners with VistaPrint since its facility opened in the summer of 2005.

"The company's product line and customer base continues to grow and the expansion of the Windsor manufacturing facility has been undertaken to meet the expected increases in North American demand," said Wendy Cebula, president of VistaPrint North America. "While the company has expanded worldwide, the majority of our orders continue to come from North America. We want to ensure that we continue to offer and deliver high-quality products quickly and efficiently, and this expansion will allow for that."

The expansion includes 39,000 square feet of office space and over 80,000 square feet of manufacturing space, bringing the facility's total area to just under 300,000 square feet. VistaPrint's Windsor plant is responsible for the printing and distribution of orders throughout North America, and manufactures customer orders on site. Overall VistaPrint averages 33,000 orders per day in its Windsor and Venlo, the Netherlands facilities, up from 22,000 orders just one year ago. VistaPrint operates 19 localized Websites and ships to more than 120 countries around the globe.

The Rosati Group has been tabbed as the general contractor overseeing the construction during the build out. Rosati Construction Inc. specializes in general contracting, construction management and design build. VistaPrint is aiming to occupy and utilize the space for the upcoming holiday season.

VistaPrint offers small businesses peace of mind by providing everything they need to market their businesses. Products include high-quality and low-cost printed products such as holiday cards, brochures, make your own business cards, calendars, postcards and address labels; promotional apparel including hats and T-shirts; and marketing services such as copywriting, design and postcard mailing.
