Wallace Joins Commerce One.net as Integrated Supplier

Lisle, IL, 5/7/01 - Wallace (NYSE: WCS) announced that it is working with Commerce One, Inc. (NASDAQ: CMRC), the e-marketplace company, to offer value-added Web-based print procurement services via Commerce One.net. As an integrated supplier on Commerce One.net, Wallace will help its customers and others seamlessly conduct business-to-business transactions through multiple Web platforms. “Integrating with Commerce One.net will allow Wallace to handle a large volume of transactions for its e-marketplace customers,” said Ken O’Brien, Wallace’s vice president of Information Systems. “Together, we will provide the necessary components that allow Wallace customers to buy, sell and manage their print in a collaborative environment.” Through its integration with Commerce One.net, Wallace will help its customers to process transactions in real time through its proprietary print management system, @w.i.n., or through customers’ existing order management systems. “We are pleased to welcome Wallace as an integrated supplier on Commerce One.net,” said Roy Satterthwaite, vice president of Commerce One.net. “We believe that Wallace has the potential to increase business and reduce operating costs in this online trading community representing thousands of buyers and suppliers.” Now accessible through Commerce One.net, Wallace’s @w.i.n. is the latest, full e-commerce version of the Wallace Information Network. It incorporates order placement, order status, messaging, inventory, reporting, print-on-demand, digital asset management, file transfer, print specifications, user administration and security, and collaborative print project workflow support -- all in one site. @w.i.n. can also be integrated with a variety of Web portals and tools to facilitate business communications.
