CGS Introduces PearlPROOF Glossy Paper

Press release from the issuing company

Hainburg, Germany/ Minneapolis/MN, (September 9, 2008) – CGS Publishing Technologies International the global leader of color management solutions, digital proofing solutions and specially-formulated media, is pleased to announce the introduction of ORIS Pearl Super Glossy Paper.  This media is the only non-optically brightened glossy proofing paper on the market today.

Pearl Super Glossy was developed to be mirrorless which is a big advantage when proofing on glossy paper.  It supports the GRACoL standard for white point LAB.

Heath Luetkens, Director of Technology of CGS stated, “Pearl Super Glossy is a truly unique addition to the full range of ORIS PearlPROOF media.  As the only media that does not use optical brighteners it reduces metamerism and improves long term stability. “

The ORIS PearlPROOF family of media is made to CGS specifications under the strictest manufacturing tolerances to insure batch-to-batch consistency.  The exclusive coating formulation of the media allows for higher ink density, uniform ink absorption, better shadow detail, larger color gamut and faster drying.

Trevor Haworth, CEO of CGS commenting on proofing media said, “Media is a critical part of any proofing system.  Without media that is matched to the software and printer a proofing system is not complete.  By matching ORIS Software, ink-jet printers and ORIS PearlPROOF media CGS is able to provide a system which communicates consistent color.”
