printCafe Reintroduces Print Buyer E-Procurement Solution as EnterpriseSite

Press release from the issuing company

Orlando, FL and Las Vegas, NV (May 2, 2001) -- printCafe, the operating system for print, today unveiled a robust and re-branded ecommerce solution for large commercial print buyers called EnterpriseSite. The announcement was made on both the east and west coasts at the National Association of Purchasing Managers (NAPM) Conference in Orlando, FL and the Ariba Live! forum at the Venetian Resort & Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. printCafe’s EnterpriseSite, already implemented by AOL Time Warner (NYSE: AOL) and The Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE: HWP), provides corporate commercial print buying organizations with a printCafe-hosted Web site branded to the company’s identity, and custom-configured to its unique structure and print-buying needs. These Web sites connect the buyer directly to preferred printers, allowing print procurement managers to send RFQs, specify and procure print projects, and then manage those projects from creation through delivery and invoicing. EnterpriseSite also includes detailed reporting to help buyers identify trends, issues, specific activity, and potential cost savings. In addition, EnterpriseSite integrates into existing or future e-procurement solutions like Ariba, or a company’s existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to create an end-to-end integration from the backend systems all the way to the print vendors’ backend systems. "The value of the EnterpriseSite e-procurement solution is that it streamlines business processes, reduces the cycle time of key activities, and brings hard cost reductions to the corporate bottom line," said Marc Olin, President and co-CEO of printCafe. "EnterpriseSite allows large, multi-division organizations to control print costs by taking fragmented, complex, divergent, and manual activities for purchasing print and transferring them to an enterprise wide, streamlined process managed by a simple-to-use infrastructure tool." EnterpriseSite is just one of printCafe’s three e-commerce solutions. Contrasting the needs of large print buying organizations, printCafe recently released FastTrack™ for mid-market print-buyers procuring up to $5 million in print annually. printCafe provides these customers with a "target" URL and password authorization for their invited printers, giving them direct access to the buyer’s project management desktop. printCafe’s third ecommerce product is PrinterSite™, printCafe-hosted Web sites custom-branded and configured for printers for use with their customers.
