WAM!NET Announces Fixed Rate, Subscription-Based Pricing Model

EAGAN, Minn. - (May 1, 2001) - WAM!NET Inc., a leading provider of information technology and digital media solutions, today announced a new pricing plan that will reward high-volume users of its managed network and storage services. Based on a fixed-rate model, the new plan also will financially reward customers who use multiple WAM!NET services, including the company's rendering and video services. To be introduced to its global base of corporate, agency, printing, publishing, studio, broadcast, post-production and government customers in May, the new pricing plan offers several benefits, including: WAM!NET's managed network, storage and compressed video services will be available with a flat monthly rate and no transaction charges. User benefits include increased predictability of monthly service fees and a streamlined ability to integrate their business partners into a fully digital WAM!NET-enabled workflow. WAM!NET Storage Services will be available on either a month-to-month or annual renewal basis. Customers and their business partners now will be able to access and re-purpose digital assets from WAM!NET's archive or in-process storage services without incurring upload or download charges. New "bundled service" packages of network, storage, workflow applications, and hosting services will be introduced with built-in discounts. Significant discounts will be available for large volume customers based upon the combined usage of all WAM!NET services. This replaces the current model of discounts based on individual service usage. WAM!NET's managed network service will remain available on a transactional pricing model (a monthly service fee with a built-in transaction allowance) to customers with lower usage requirements.
