Press release from the issuing company

Milwaukee, WI, April 13, 2001- The five-year healthcare partnership between Quad/Graphics and Covenant Healthcare has received national recognition from the National Managed Healthcare Congress (NMHCC). Recognized for their effort to improve the delivery of healthcare, the Quad/Graphics-Covenant Healthcare program was awarded the 2001 AstraZeneca-NMHCC Partnership Award. The AstraZeneca-NMHCC Partnership Award recognizes innovative leadership in the healthcare industry that demonstrates the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective and equitable healthcare. Award applicants are evaluated on their ability to demonstrate improvements in the quality of care, increased access, and lowered costs. They must also explain how they involve providers in designing and operating the program and what procedures are used to ensure patients receive appropriate care. The Quad/Graphics-Covenant Healthcare partnership began in 1995. The goals include providing medically expert healthcare to employees and their families in a state-of-the-art facility, at exceptionally competitive rates. Today, the Quad-Covenant program boasts an expansive clinic -- located onsite at Quad/Graphics' West Allis, Wis., print-production facility -- that provides a broad range of services including primary care, physical rehabilitation, a wellness program, and dental and vision care. The clinic serves a patient population of more than 30,000 Quad/Graphics employees and their families. In implementing these changes, Quad/Graphics has experienced an 18% decrease a $6.5 million per year reduction in healthcare costs. "Our employees are thrilled with the care they receive right in their place of work," states Leonard Quadracci, M.D., president of Quad/Covenant Corporate Health Services and director of Quad/Graphics' West Allis clinic. "We believe strongly in promoting and enhancing employee wellness, not only on the job but in their overall lives. This is a conscious investment in the health and well being of our employees, with immediate and long-term benefits. Easy access to high quality, cost-effective primary care services is a goal we have always tried to achieve, and our partnership with Covenant has allowed us to do that. Our employees are the real beneficiaries." Paul Dell Uomo, President and CEO of Covenant Healthcare, stated, "This partnership is a perfect example of Covenant's community-based philosophy of providing health care. We believe that healthcare providers working in conjunction with employers and physicians, offers the best opportunity for high quality, low-cost care that maintains and improves outcomes over time. We're very pleased to receive this award with such a quality, world-class partner as Quad/Graphics."
