Oce Releases New Software To Support Web Collaboration and Digital Archiving

CHICAGO, Ill., April 24, 2001 - To ease the handling of CAD and other technical design documents used by design, building, and manufacturing companies, Oce-USA, Inc. (NASDAQ: OCENY) today introduced the latest version of its technical document management software application. Oce Engineering Exec® 3.0 software enables users in industries such as aerospace, automotive, electronics, engineering, construction, telecommunications, government and utilities to archive, control, manage and distribute small-and wide-format documents. Due to its scalability and modular architecture, the software allows any organization, small to large, to fully optimize printing productivity and distribute technical documentation to any printing system, even those across the Internet. Among the many improvements from version 2.4, Oce Engineering Exec 3.0 software provides Internet access to files to facilitate Web collaboration, enabling users to browse folders, view archived documents and submit print jobs from anywhere to any printer supported by Oce Engineering Exec software. Authorized users can access files hosted by the Oce Engineering Exec server through common Web browsers, saving the IT department labor cost and allowing for rapid deployment. This is especially important in organizations where hundreds of people need access to technical documentation.
