Mead Completes Acquisition Of Moore's Carbonless Coating Operations

DAYTON, OH – November 30, 2000 — The Mead Corporation (NYSE: MEA) today announced completion of its acquisition of the carbonless coating operations of Moore Corporation Limited (TSE, NYSE: MCL). Mead also announced signing of a long-term supply agreement to be Moore’s exclusive supplier of carbonless copy paper in the United States and Canada. As previously reported, Mead agreed to acquire Moore’s Fremont, Ohio, coating facility as well as coating equipment from its Visalia, Calif., facility. Moore will continue to convert, manufacture and sell carbonless business forms and other multiple part printed forms. Financial details were not disclosed. Moore Corporation Limited, based in Toronto, provides data capture, information design, marketing services, digital communications, and print solutions that enable customers to improve their business processes and increase revenue.
