Standard Register Forms Document Consulting Business Unit

Press release from the issuing company

(DAYTON, OHIO) April16,2001 Standard Register today announced the formation of Document Consulting Services, a professional services business unit focused on helping clients optimize the use and flow of documents. This action is part of Standard Register's Renewal Plan aimed at revitalizing the Company, taking advantage of growth opportunities and creating increased shareholder value. According to CapVentures, customers typically spend between 8 and 15% of their revenues on documents and associated expenditures. Despite the critical role of documents throughout organizations, they are often a highly mismanaged asset, which can lead to excessive costs and disrupted business processes. The business unit, which will be housed within the newly created Document Management Strategic Business Unit (SBU), aims to eliminate this mismanagement of documents. "Our team will offer a comprehensive portfolio of consulting services designed to help customers optimize how they design and deploy documents as the strategic enablers of information throughout their organizations," explains Michael Pratt, VP, Document Consulting Services. "We are committed to achieving world-class delivery of these services and have formed an expert team to develop, sell and implement the services portfolio."
