ATLANTA & PARIS--Oct. 3, 2001-- T/R SYSTEMS, INC., a leader in developing innovative solutions for the management and production of digital documents, and M.G.I. SA, a leader in short-run on-demand digital color printing, announced today that a new jointly developed solution is available for shipment to M.G.I. customers.
T/R Systems' MicroPress document production server and M.G.I. SA's Evolutiv A330 and 4-color print devices are at the heart of this new offering.
The customized MicroPress for M.G.I. is a document production server for low to high volume print-on-demand and graphic arts applications. The MicroPress combines powerful make-ready capabilities with advanced workflow tools and color management services to deliver a sophisticated, scalable digital production solution. Evolutiv A330 print devices (13" x 19'' paper size) combine offset print quality with the flexibility and power of digital technology. Quality four-color process printing, 150 lpi - 2400 dpi resolution and superb registration satisfy the most demanding customer requirements.
"This new joint solution offers customers flexibility, performance and exceptional quality in 4-color short-run on-demand color applications,'' said Michael Abergel, Executive Vice President of M.G.I. USA. "This is a major development, one in which our customers and two companies will benefit.''
Mike Kohlsdorf, President and CEO of T/R Systems said, "We have seen the ground swell of support M.G.I. has received for their print devices throughout the global print-on-demand market, and we look forward to expanding the capabilities of their devices through our robust color software. We believe that this relationship will deliver exceptional productivity and overall customer value.''
