printCafe Introduces FastTrack Web Solution, for Mid-Sized Print Buyers

Press release from the issuing company

Boston, MA, Seybold Boston Conference -- (April 11, 2001) – printCafeTM, the operating system for printTM, today unveiled FastTrackTM, a new mid-market ecommerce product developed for print-buying organizations procuring up to $5 million in print annually and who require more than one printer estimate per project. FastTrack is a printCafe-hosted Web site that allows print buyers to manage RFQs, quotes and orders online for greater efficiency. printCafe will provide a “target” URL and password authorization to one or more invited printers giving them direct access to the buyer’s project management desktop. In addition to marketing FastTrack directly to small to mid-size print buyers, printCafe will offer FastTrack to its existing printer Web site subscribers for presentation to their own print-buying customers. “This is a very exciting new ecommerce offering because it allows print buyers to define and implement a new site within weeks,” said Marc Olin, co-CEO of printCafe. “FastTrack is an ideal complement to printCafe’s custom-configured enterprise ecommerce solutions designed for large print buyers. FastTrack delivers the advantages of our ecommerce technology to businesses that do not require the level of customization and complexity that some of our larger Fortune 1000 customers do. “Our printers asked us to provide them a solution which they could bring to their customers which takes advantage of the integration our solutions offer but allows the customers to interact with all of their existing printers,” said Olin. “FastTrack is a low-cost way for printers to enhance their own Internet offering and be proactive in guiding customers, rather than waiting for their customers to dictate an e-commerce solution.”
