Reduce Your Environmental Impact wtih Glunz and Jensen

Press release from the issuing company

(October 14, 2008) Are you concerned about disposing of process chemicals into the waste stream? Help is on hand, from Glunz and Jensen. You can reduce your environmental impact with a new zero waste, environmentally friendly computer-to-plate system.

Caring for the environment is an ever increasing concern for Info-Tec Distribution and the printing industry and that is why Info-Tec is delighted to offer The PlateWriter 2400 (4-UP metal CTP system) and the PlateWriter 2000 (2-UP metal CTP systems). They produce press-ready aluminium plates without the need for chemical processing.

Glunz and Jensen are well known for their unbeatable build quality; when it comes to plate processors and other printing equipment they are a market leader. The PlateWriter Computer-to-Plate systems use an innovative technology that sets new standards in the cost, flexibility and speed of offset printing for small to medium format printers. The PlateWriter jets a patented Liquid Dot chemical solution on to non-photosensitive aluminium printing plates. The imaged plates are fed through a plate-finishing unit that dries the plates and bonds the liquid dots to the plate surface. The plate finishing unit has a built-in gumming station to gum and dry the plates and protect them before going to press.

The PlateWriter Computer-to-Plate systems are designed for quick-printers, small commercial printers and in-plants looking to be environmentally aware, but not wanting to pay the high price of being 'green'. Their simple no fuss approach to imaging directly onto plates makes them easy to use and minimises environmental impact.
