Canon displays the future of IT technology at CeBIT 2001

3/01 - CeBIT 2001 - At CeBIT 2001, Canon is displaying its latest products and services that will integrate digital communications into the next century. Through demonstrations of cutting edge products and solutions for a networked world, Canon is showcasing its direction and vision for the future. Canon’s stand in Hall 1 centers around the theme of "Imaging across networks" featuring advanced business solutions and products. With the introduction of Canon’s new digital iR copier range, Canon has further enhanced its ability to supply integrated hardware and software solutions. Added to this, Canon is showcasing advanced core technologies, software and alliance partnerships. The stand is divided into two sections — Business Solutions and Consumer Products - which together feature a total of five different zones covering 2000m2. The Business Solutions section includes a comprehensive demonstration of all the latest imaging devices, including multifunctional office equipment linked to leading software, while the Consumer Products section showcases Canon’s latest Cameras, digital imaging and Bubble Jet printing. Canon is also demonstrating its commitment to Bluetoothä with a number of exciting applications that are likely to reduce current barriers to the use of digital equipment and give a boost to the mobile Internet market. Business Solutions In the "Innovation and New Products" zone, Canon is launching the latest in its series of new generation, black and white networkable office copiers/printers. These new models include the mid-range iR series for the corporate market — iR2200, iR2800 and iR3300 - as well as the high volume iR8500. This zone will also be featuring the new 21ppm networked colour copier/printer - the iR C2100, as well as the new Internet ready iR6000i intelligent printer/copier, with its incredible ‘universal send’ feature. The "Professional Services" zone demonstrates how Canon links 3rd parties, dealers and content providers, encouraging the creation of new network services, improving dealer service efficiency, bolstering consumer satisfaction and encouraging business expansion. Canon’s new concepts of eMaintenance, together with Colour Management services and our impressive Web Cameras will be on display. The "Digital Office" zone features a wide range of products and solutions dealing with everything from print and network device management to scanning and faxing solutions. Key highlights include Canon’s latest high-speed document scanners — the DR-3080C and DR-5060F. Among the many solutions on display will be new versions of Canon’s CanoBureau software package for sharing and management of documents across networks, 3rd party solutions, as well as cluster printing and redirectional software. In the "Professional Printing" zone Canon is demonstrating its latest systems and software for large volume print and large format printing environments. Feature products include the launch of the new BJ-W9000, Canon’s latest addition to the large format range, as well as new accessories for the iR110 network production system.
