3/01 - CeBIT 2001 - Document control @ your desktop Venlo, March 22, 2001 - With the new Océ Intra Logic smart software solution, Océ-Technologies B. V. has redesigned the desktop workplace by merging multiple tasks into a one-stop interface significantly saving valuable staff time and cutting printing costs by up to 80 per cent. This unique, web-based management software organises printing systems, corporate documents and information accessible from any desktop connected to your network. Set to bring document control into a new era, Océ Intra Logic software also facilitates incorporating relevant hyperlinks, and offers direct access to services at Océ Web sites and to any future document related e-services designed to further automate your office tasks. Following its launch at CeBIT 2001, customer deliveries of Océ Intra Logic are scheduled to begin this May. All printing systems available at your workspace Océ Intra Logic is designed to network and monitor all available SNMP/MIB-compliant printing systems, so you can choose the most suitable one for every job. An on-screen window on its desktop interface automatically refreshes information about the status of each printer, paper capacity, printer location and more. Your screen will display the printer details needed to make the most optimal printing choice-whether it be colour, double-sided, or stapling. Océ Intra Logic lets you know which machines are available at which moment. So, no more printer/copier queues, saving valuable staff time. Océ Intra Logic results in substantial cost savings Not only does Océ Intra Logic make working more efficient, it reduces printing costs-up to an amazing 80 per cent. How can this be possible? As Océ Intra Logic provides access and control to all networked printing devices, multiple, large print jobs can be easily redirected from desktop printers to far more cost-effective workgroup systems. Furthermore, this software reduces the need for personal printers-often utilised less than five per cent of the time-on every desk, thereby cutting costs of expensive toner cartridges. This creates a more profitable, user-friendly and acceptable balance between using personal desktop and workgroup printing. So, why spend so much more money when you don´t have to? Documents at your disposal-anywhere, any time Océ Intra Logic operates independent of individual workstations. In combination with the unique Digital Mailbox function of Océ 3145, 3155 and 3165 copier/ printers, easy access is provided to your print jobs from any workstation in the organisation. Personal access is secured via Océ Intra Logic´s password protected log-in. This flexibility works around any unexpected event. For example, if the printer is busy, the job can easily be rerouted to any other printing system. Users can collate multiple print jobs with various settings to the preferred printer by a simple mouse-click. Via the Web Job Submission function, files can even be sent directly for printing without opening them, and job tickets are automatically issued. Corporate document access and all relevant Web links With Océ Intra Logic, all users can access corporate documents and services in a much easier, more organised and efficient way. This software can be a starting point toward a more centralised working environment-a portal for selected documents, communication and information accessible via your intranet or the Internet. Company's templates (fax, letters), standard forms (declarations, travel requests), corporate house style documents (bulletins, leaflets) and company information (telephone lists, procedures, organisation charts) are just samples of the information that can be included. External corporate links can be added as well, offering useful tools to make office work more convenient and efficient. Océ Intra Logic enables the system administrator to create direct connections to valuable external data, such as public phone directories, currency converters, newspapers and travel planners. Single access point to Océ's e-services Designed by Océ to assist your organisation and to maximise satisfaction, Océ Intra Logic is a universal interface to a wide range of Océ's corporate e-services, opening up downloading drivers and user manuals, ordering supplies on-line, meter reading and so on.
