Piranha and Europa 2000 of Italy Reach Dealer Agreement

London – March 27, 2001 - Piranha, Inc. (OTC BB: BYTE), an innovator in data compression technology and workflow solutions, today announced an agreement that allows Europa 2000, a multimedia marketing concern, to sell Piranha software throughout Italy. Europa 2000 is headed by Isabella Cataletto, who has worked with such companies as Scitex, Sema Group, Cilas Alcatel, Du Pont de Nemours and Barco Graphics. Europa 2000 specializes in providing its customers with image, text and video asset management softwares, data protection and authentication softwares, and communications softwares. Europa also represents Globablprint (Technotrans Group of Germany) Signum Technologies (another Piranha dealer in the United Kingdom), Group Logic, MCI WorldCom, and UUNET. “Piranha Byte, Piranha Net and Piranha Stream suite of softwares have been long awaited in the Publishing and Graphic Arts industries due to the quality lossless and managed lossy compression capabilities they offer. It addresses the substantial requirements for those data-intensive industries that have not been addressed successfully or with impressive compression ratios by other technologies” Ms. Cataletto said. “The ability to preserve original file formats and folders makes Piranha Byte a very precious tool in any pre-press, publishing, graphic studio, newspaper department.
