R&E Council Names Speakers for 2001 Critical Trends Conference

White Stone, VA, March 2001 The Research & Engineering Council of the Graphic Arts Industry has named speakers for its 51st annual Critical Trends Conference and annual meeting, to be held May 3-5, 2001, at the newly opened Marriott Waterfront, Baltimore, Maryland.  The 2001 program will include a keynote address by Raymond Frick, CEO of The Lehigh Press, as well as presentations by economists from the American Forest & Paper Association and the National Association for Printing Leadership all of whom will address the uncertainties which face printers today.  Executives from printing companies including Action Printing, Banta Corporation, Cadmus Communications, R. R. Donnelley & Sons, and Grand River Printing & Imaging will detail the operational and managerial techniques which make their companies successful in the current print market.  Other speakers include Hadley Brandt of Halo ISDG, who will discuss print automation; Jack Bruger of Heidelberg USA, providing an update of the use of CIP4 protocols; and William Lavelle of Myo Ergonomics, who will describe a new approach to reducing workplace injuries.
