NUR - Announces Major New Products at ISA Sign Expo 2001

Press release from the issuing company

Las Vegas, NV; March 22, 2001 - NUR Macroprinters (Nasdaq: NURM), a global market leader in wide and superwide digital printing solutions for the out-of-home advertising market, is today announcing two new printing systems products, enhanced consumables offerings, and a unique new guarantee of 95% uptime for all of its machines. The announcements are being made at a press reception and briefing in NUR America's booth #1628 at the close of the first day of the International Sign Association's Sign Expo 2001 conference and exhibition here at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Equipment on display in NURs new 3,000 sq. ft booth includes the new NUR Fresco 3200, the new NUR Salsa Ultima 3200 and NUR's flagship superwide printing system the NUR Blueboard HiQ+(TM). These machines are running a wide variety of application samples, sizes and subtrates to showcase the breadth of NUR's capabilities for out-of-home advertising. The NUR Blueboard HiQ+ printer in the booth is equipped with two specialty options. One is a unique backlit solution designed for both indoor and outdoor backlit signs. The other is a multi-tiled print solution enabling the 16' wide printer to simultaneously print on several rolls. There is also a NUR Salsa Ultima 1500 printer in the Wasatch Computer Technologies booth #315 on the show floor. The new NUR Salsa Ultima printers are equipped with Wasatch RIPs. The new NUR Fresco 3200 is a wider format and more versatile version of the popular original NUR Fresco, renamed the NUR Fresco 1800, capable of printing at high speed (up to 900 sq. feet per hour) in widths up to 10.5 feet on virtually any substrate. The added width and versatility of the new model means customers can productively print a wider variety of seamless fleet, truckside and banner applications at the high resolution required for close viewing. The new, substantially enhanced NUR Salsa Ultima models reflect the many engineering and manufacturing synergies that resulted from NUR's acquisition of Salsa Digital last year. These synergies have yielded substantial enhancements in the areas of control software efficiency, productivity, overall reliability, print quality and color management in the new NUR Salsa Ultima models. The new NUR Salsa Ultima series machines are priced at the same level as the original NUR Salsa models and replace them in the company's product line.
