Formsplanet.com to Shut Down May 1st

Thursday, March 22, 2001

Press release from the issuing company

3/22/01 - (WhatTheyThink) According to sources familiar with Formsplanet.com, the site will cease by May 1st. Sources said customers will have other options to access and perform work outside the Formsplanet site. Attempts to reach company executives were not successful. Formsplanet.com targeted small businesses and hosted a catalog of virtual business forms that could be customized, filled, issued and archived directly from the Web site. The ASP developed partnerships with Entrust Technologies and Corel to allow clients custom branded documents and secure "virtual file cabinets." The company was founded in 1999, as a unit of JetForm - a provider of electronic forms and enterprise workflow solutions. The firm was also funded in part by JetForm.
