The Kennickell Group Purchases KM-1e High Speed Inkjet Press

Press release from the issuing company

The Kennickell Group, a Savannah-based commercial and wide format printing company founded in 1892, has announced the purchase and installation of a KM-1e high speed inkjet press. The UV inkjet press has a maximum sheet size of 23” X 29” and can print on both sides of the sheet in a single pass. “This may be the most game changing piece of equipment we have ever purchased in my four decades in the business,” says Al Kennickell, President. “This will allow us to produce work faster with unmatched quality, and more economically than ever before.” This fully variable data press will also allow Kennickell to print and address direct mail pieces in the same pass, eliminating the need to send jobs to the mailing department for addressing. “This press will allow us to address and mail four times more than our current daily mail volume, and therefore compete on a national level with any direct mail project,” said Kacey Kennickell Ray, Vice President. Andrew Smith, Vice President of Sales, stated “I can’t wait for our sales team to bring this to market as we kick off 2022. Our clients have never seen the benefits of high-speed inkjet technology as there are only a hundred or so of these presses in the US. At an investment of seven figures plus, they are not likely to see many more any time soon.”
