Corel Announces New Relationships with Sony and Konica

Ottawa, Canada – Mar 19, 2001Corel Corporation (NASDAQ: CORL, TSE: COR) today announced that it has signed new agreements with Sony Electronics and Konica Photo Imaging, Inc. Sony will bundle Corel's award-winning business productivity software with Sony's market-leading VAIO computers. Specifically, Corel WordPerfect 9 will be combined with Sony's J 150 and RX 360 desktop computers, enabling customers to take full advantage of the superior word-processing capabilities contained within Corel's flagship business application. Corel and Konica will combine their technological expertise to target the high-growth photo-manipulation market. The first initiative in this new relationship will see Corel Print House™ 2000 bundled with the new Konica Photo PC PictureShow CD. Konica customers may select the Photo CD option when they drop off their digital or 35 mm film for developing. When they pick up their photographs, they will receive the Konica Photo PC PictureShow CD, which will include photographs in digital format along with Corel Print House 2000.
