CHICAGO, IL. (3/01) The A.B.Dick Company successfully kicked off its Greatest Traveling Printshow on Earth tour in Philadelphia, March 1-2. A sizeable crowd attended the invitation-only equipment Open House event that was held at the Radisson Hotel Philadelphia Northeast. The national tour will continue in April when the show stops in Cincinnati and Kansas City before heading to the West Coast for the Gutenberg Festival. "Philadelphia has proven to be very good for us in the past and this year was no exception," said Scott MacKenzie, Director of Product Planning for A.B.Dick and the ring- leader who launched the Open House program last year. "When our guests see the amount of equipment we bring to these events, they realize the significant advantages they can have over their competition. Since we do this event by-invitation-only, it allows us quality time to discuss their operations, address the issues and determine which products best serve their needs." The Greatest Traveling Printshow on Earth is just that, given the depth of the equipment available at each show. The award-winning Digital PlateMaster line is represented by the DPM2340, which is shown with the ScanMaster digital scanning system. The powerful A.B.Dick Colour digital press is one of several presses represented, including the new 9995A-ICS and PowerPro 34 two-tower offset presses and the Multi 4610. The new deSign U. custom poster and banner system and the Watkiss SpineMaster binding system complete a very impressive line-up. The Cincinnati Printshow is next on the schedule. Set for April 10-11, it will be held at the Cincinnati Marriott North, located at 6189 Muhlhauser Road. This event will consist of three, 2-hour sessions; the first two programs on Tuesday, April 10 will be held from 1-3 p.m. and from 4-6 p.m. A morning-only session is scheduled the next day from 9-11 a.m.
