Press release from the issuing company

Watsonville, CA - March 19, 2001 - Providing Macintosh(r) and PC users with the most robust cross-platform compatible compression solutions, Aladdin Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Aladdin Systems Holdings, Inc. (OTC BB: ALHI), today announced the release of StuffIt Deluxe(tm) 6.0.1 - a new update to Aladdin Systems' award-winning compression utility StuffIt Deluxe 6.0. With this new update, Macintosh users gain several new features, including additional support for GnuTar files, symbolic link support, and improved Microsoft Entourage(tm) "Stuff and Mail" support. StuffIt Deluxe is the industry standard for file compression. Wherever there is a need for compressing large files into smaller archives, whether to fit them on removable media, posting them to a web site, or sending them via email, StuffIt is there. And on the other side, when downloading files from the Internet or receiving files via email, StuffIt gives you the power to expand and access any file type sent. "With the industry focused on the launch of OS X, Aladdin Systems recognizes that a large user base will continue to operate under Mac OS 8 and 9 variants," said Peter Thomas, StuffIt product manager. "Ready for OS X, StuffIt Deluxe 6.0.1 provides virtually all Macintosh users with the same level of flexibility, capability and ease of use that are identified with the StuffIt family of products." StuffIt Deluxe 6.0.1 is free for registered users of StuffIt Deluxe 6.0.
