(DAYTON, OHIO), April 4, 2001… Standard Register today announced the appointment of M. Jay Romans as Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Romans will report to the chief executive officer and will be a key member of the Company’s executive leadership. Prior to joining Standard Register, Romans was founder and president of Romans & Associates, a consulting firm specializing in creating high performance work systems. His clients included SAP America, Williams Energy Services and Becton Dickinson. In addition to his consulting experience, Romans has extensive experience as a corporate human resource executive. He spent five years at Becton Dickinson, first as Director, Organization Effectiveness and Learning, then as Worldwide Vice President of Human Resources for the Pre-Analytical Solutions Business. “As we move the Company to four strategic business units,” says Standard Register CEO Dennis Rediker, referring to the Renewal Plan announced by the Company on January 25, “Human Resources will play an important role within the new organization.
