Four51 and Pageflex Announce Strategic Alliance

Press release from the issuing company

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, and CAMBRIDGE, MA, March 12, 2001 — Four51 and Pageflex announced today a strategic partnership under which Four51 will use Pageflex's Mpower software with Four51's Print ExceleratorSM and Store ExceleratorSM products. Both products, available via subscription through Four51's application service provider model, will leverage Pageflex's software to produce prepress-ready files for print production.   “Mpower is an impressive tool,” said John Wangaard, Four51's vice president of research and development. “It's the most robust and feature-rich application of its kind on the market today. And, given Pageflex's success in the market, we're confident that Pageflex™ technologies will emerge as a standard for the industry.”   The two companies will collaborate to enable Four51 with Pageflex technologies and to enhance and extend those capabilities to standardize the process of delivering production-ready digital files from conception to output.   “Four51's e-procurement system simplifies print purchasing processes for corporate print buyers and their suppliers,” said Sang Lee, vice president of sales and marketing for Pageflex. “Mpower technology adds a level of sophisticated document customization to Four51's e-procurement system that isn't currently available in typical corporate marketing departments and print shops.”
