Pitney Bowes Launches Flagship High Volume Digital Copier/Printer Solution

Press release from the issuing company

TRUMBULL, CT, March 13, 2001 - Pitney Bowes today introduced its new flagship digital copier/printer, the DL750. Operating at 75-pages-per-minute, the DL750 is a cost-effective workhorse solution built to meet the rigorous demands of high volume environments such as centralized reproduction departments, facilities management firms and corporate workgroups. With a 550,000 maximum monthly impression volume, the DL750 is well-suited to augment strained capacities in busy centralized environments at a much lower cost relative to installing a second duplicator. "The DL750 raises the speed and volume ceilings of our digital copier/printer solutions," stated Nathaniel Gifford, vice president, Strategic Marketing, Pitney Bowes Office Systems. "With the DL750, our customers can now complement overutilized high-volume duplicators and implement a volume-splitting strategy to reduce stress on equipment. The DL750 is also an appropriate solution to replace obsolete high-end devices in environments where impression volumes have dropped enough to make it difficult to justify the continued use of expensive, underutilized duplicators. In either case, the DL750 is an affordable alternative," said Gifford. Advanced finishing modes including the ability to create saddle-stitched booklets will bring new applications in-house. The DL750 is also a sensible solution for customers who may have overestimated speed and volume requirements on their existing high-volume copiers and want to reduce their investment in copier/printer hardware without sacrificing image quality or finishing capabilities. "The DL750 complements the recent introduction of our high volume duplicator, the ProDoc 110. By pairing these two solutions, or through adding tandem copying capabilities to the DL750, Pitney Bowes Office Systems can be a viable partner to those customers with impression volumes over 1,000,000 per month," furthered Gifford.
