Equipment installed in late summer by local dealer Graphics IV

ANDOVER, Mass. – Standard Finishing Systems, a leading supplier of post-press and paper handling solutions, recently announced that Kessler Creative, a printing and direct marketing agency based in Jacksonville, FL, successfully installed two pieces of finishing equipment from Standard and their manufacturing partner, Horizon International Inc. The two solutions, a Standard Horizon BQ-280PUR Perfect Binder and a Standard Horizon AFC-566FG Folder, were installed by local dealer Graphics IV.

Kessler approached Standard and Graphics IV with interest in new automated finishing solutions to complement their two new Canon i300 Color Sheetfed Digital Presses. In early summer, Kessler visited Standard’s National Training and Demonstration Center in Andover, MA, for a hands-on demonstration of Standard’s available solutions. After the visit and discussions with the team at Standard, Kessler decided to move ahead with a Standard Horizon BQ-280PUR Perfect Binder and a Standard Horizon AFC-566FG Folder to meet their current and future needs.

Adding this solution to our capabilities gave us the ability to promote our product line even more, and with a quicker turn time. It goes hand-in-hand with our Canon i300 series machines.”

The Standard Horizon AFC-566FG Folder has a fully automated setup process and can reach speeds of up to 42,000 sheets per hour. The folder’s automation facilitates ultra-quick changeovers, and its combination roller and scoring system processes sensitive digitally-imaged sheets without marking.

The Standard Horizon BQ-280PUR Perfect Binder also has a fully automated set-up and changeover process to allow for shorter, on-demand production runs as well as book-of-one capabilities. The system also includes in-line verification for document integrity and job memory storage for quick setup of simple and repeat jobs.
