AOL Time Warner and Kinkos Expand Alliance

Press release from the issuing company

NEW YORK, March 8, 2001 - AOL Time Warner (NYSE: AOL) today announced a new multi-million dollar expansion of its marketing alliance with Kinko's, Inc., the world's leading provider of document solutions and business services. Under the new agreement, Kinko's and AOL Time Warner will build upon previous relationships across various AOL Time Warner properties to create marketing programs designed to drive awareness and sales. The new expanded alliance will integrate Kinko's current and future marketing efforts by creating programs that leverage AOL Time Warner's network of on-air, online and print media. The agreement expands upon the companies' successful interactive marketing relationship across the America Online brands, announced in February 2000. The expanded alliance builds upon a variety of interactive Kinko's promotions across the America Online brands and ongoing print advertising in Time Inc. magazines by developing multi-platform initiatives across AOL Time Warner's properties, which the companies will roll out in the coming year. George Tamke, Kinko's CEO, said: 'We've had a great relationship with America Online, and this expansion allows us to take advantage of the unique flexibility of AOL Time Warner to allocate our marketing resources across a variety of media platforms to meet our needs. Expanding our marketing commitment across AOL Time Warner's combined media properties provides us with access to a one-stop package of online, offline and television promotions, allowing us to get the greatest value and reach the widest audience in the online and offline worlds.' Bob Pittman, Co-COO, AOL Time Warner, said: 'Kinko's shares our commitment to helping consumers communicate, and they clearly understand the cross-platform marketing opportunities that AOL Time Warner can provide, with the leading online brands, popular magazine titles and strong cable television properties. Kinko's relationship with America Online has already provided great value to online consumers and businesses, and I look forward to expanding our alliance as Kinko's harnesses the online and offline marketing power of AOL Time Warner.'
