Versient Expands Operations; Opens Regional Office

Press release from the issuing company

Hunt Valley, MD (March 1, 2001) - Versient, Inc., a business-to-business solutions provider, announces the opening of its Texas office. Robert S. Davis has been appointed Business Solutions Director. Based in Austin, TX, Davis will lead business development and sales efforts in the Southwest region as Versient expands its presence on a national basis. Prior to joining Versient, Davis was a highly accomplished national sales professional in the commercial printing business. Throughout his 23-year career, Davis sold close to $100 million in print products to Fortune 1000, advertising and design firms. In his new position, he will be responsible for new market development and expanding Versient's presence in the Southwestern US. Versient's products enable organizations to order printed materials and product samples, create one-to-one marketing materials, track prospects, and manage digital assets such as logos, photos and artwork-online and on demand. Studies by the Boston Consulting Group show that business-to-business purchasing will grow by 33 percent per year, reaching $2.8 trillion by 2003. Further, studies also show that online procurement of printed materials will be the second-largest area of purchasing growth. "Companies are changing how they manage their print resources," Davis stated. "I believe that the Versient solution is the most comprehensive solution in this space-it is simple, scalable, and significantly saves hard and soft costs. It's a proven product that implements into any company quickly."
