Boston, MA -- February 28, 2001 -- Digital Art Exchange, Inc. (DAX) and Graphic Arts Supplies.com, a leading provider of industry supplies and consumables, today announced a partnership agreement, where DAX will provide SDSL connectivity to Graphic Arts Supplies.com for distribution through their customer base. When Graphic Arts Supplies customers sign a supply contract for a qualified amount, they will receive, at no additional cost, an SDSL connection, installation and router from Graphic Arts Supplies.com. In their continuing efforts to provide leading supplies and services to the graphic communications industry, both companies formed this agreement, the first of its kind in the graphic communications industry, to help printers fulfill their needs while providing a valuable incentive to work with Graphic Arts Supplies.com. The SDSL offering, made possible through the agreement with DAX, gives Graphic Arts Supplies.com customers, who are mostly printers, the connection speeds necessary to transfer files and utilize the various bandwidth-intensive applications available in the industry today. "Printers across the United States desperately need faster connections to the Internet. Our relationship with DAX allows our customers to implement this technology with little or no cost out-of-pocket," said David Harlan, COO of Graphic Arts Supplies.com. "In today’s marketplace, broadband access is a must to remain successful and competitive. We are proud to offer our customers this high-speed access opportunity." For customers who qualify, Graphic Arts Supplies.com will provide a free SDSL 384K connection, installation and a router, with DAX to supplying the connectivity necessary for Graphic Arts Supplies.com's offer. The amount of supplies and consumables purchased will determine the cost Graphic Arts Supplies.com will cover, which ranges from a certain dollar figure to the entire cost, for each customer's SDSL connection.
