GretagMacbeth Launches National Color and Appearance Seminar Series

New Windsor, NY, February 28, 2001 – GretagMacbeth, the leading provider of color management solutions, has launched its Color and Appearance Seminar program, a science workshop series that will stop in 8 locations across North America. The series of workshops includes basic and advanced level courses that combine lectures, demonstrations, and discussions to help attendees learn how to evaluate, measure, and communicate color. The workshops are open to all interested professionals who value color quality and its effects on business. The basic session focuses on an introduction to color and appearance. Important principles that are explored during the workshop include visual color evaluation, quantifying color, color tolerances and standards, and an introduction to instrumentation. The advanced session expands upon these basic concepts with more detailed instruction about instrument practices and performance. Additional subject matter included in the advanced session teaches color communication and methods for color control – how establishing specifications and effective evaluations for workflows and processes for which color is mission-critical in the textile, plastic, automotive, manufacturing, painting and printing industries.
