Press release from the issuing company

Hunt Valley, MD (February 26, 2001) - Versient, Inc., a business-to-business solutions provider, proudly announces the opening of its Missouri office. Mandi L. Rudd has been appointed Business Solutions Director. Based in Kansas City, MO, Rudd will lead business development and sales efforts in the Midwest as Versient expands its presence on a national basis. Prior to joining Versient, Rudd served as Region Executive for AOL, successfully launching a local sales office and driving local e-commerce strategies. In her new position, she will be responsible for new market development, as well as targeting the industries where Versient's products and services are most appropriate. The Versient E.D.G.E. suite of products enables organizations to order printed materials online, create one-to-one marketing materials, track prospects, and manage digital assets such as logos, photos and artwork. Commenting on Versient's expansion, Versient President & CEO Steve Morris stated, "Versient was looking to expand its operations to the Midwest, and Kansas City was an excellent fit for Versient because of the area's strong growth in telecommunications, banking and finance, technology and the service industry-areas that fit our business targets. Versient offers an extraordinary opportunity to redefine how companies purchase and deliver printed materials, and Mandi brings to Versient a valuable knowledge and understanding of how our solutions can benefit these companies."
