Nation-Wide Plastics and The Cartolith Group Merge

2/23/01 (WhatTheyThink) - Nation-Wide Plastics co., Inc. and The Cartolith Group has formed an alliance in the converting industry. The two companies have merged and will be operating under a new corporate name to be announced in one week. Nation-Wide Plastics has been in business for 39 years and The Cartolith Group has been in business for over 32 years. Michael Levy, Vice President of Nation-Wide Plastics said the companies have always had a close connection. "Milt Levy, the owner and president of Nation-Wide and Lou DeStafano, the owner and president of Cartolith have known each other for over 5 decades. The two men decided that in the converting industry it was time to make a move. There has been much consolidation in every other part of the printing industry. Now with seven locations spread over the country and with solid technical and sales representation the two companies feel they are in a very strong position to serve their graphic arts dealers." John D'mato, Vice President of The Cartolith Group said the company plans to keep all of the estimated 70 employees. "It is very early in the process, but we plan to keep everyone fully employed. We expect to determine the name and other specific structural issues in the coming days."
