FileFlow Announces Strategic Partnership With Charrette ProGraphics

Press release from the issuing company

Orlando, FL - PMA Booth 1008/1010 - February 11, 2001 FileFlow Inc. - the developer of the world's fastest and most secure delivery and storage systems for digital image workflows across the Internet - has announced a strategic partnership agreement with Charrette ProGraphics, a division of the Charrette Corporation of Woburn, MA. Under the agreement, FileFlow's FastSend digital courier service will become the file transfer engine behind Charrette's on-line Digital Print Manager, a web application that allows Charrette's customers to upload high-resolution files for output and reproduction. The incorporation of FastSend will dramatically reduce the amount of time necessary for file transfers, regardless of file size or bandwidth. "This is a perfect fit for FastSend," said Ken Freedman, Executive Vice-President of FileFlow. "Charrette's clients deal with large image files on a daily basis. Until now, they were at the mercy of their bandwidth when it came to uploading their files. With Charrette's Digital Print Manager powered by FastSend, their files will be there in a fraction of the time, and they won't have to invest in any hardware or software." Nils-Johan Pedersen, President and CEO of FileFlow, agreed by adding, "Charrette is a great company for FileFlow to partner with because of their commitment to industry leading solutions. Their history of customer satisfaction is clear in that regard." FastSend - the world's fastest Internet courier - is capable of delivering large graphic arts files quickly and securely over any Internet connection. No private networks or broadband capabilities are necessary and files are transmitted 20 to 30 times faster than FTP or e-mail. In addition, there are no file size restrictions. "FastSend is the missing piece in the file transfer puzzle," said Pat Colpoys, Charrette's Web Services Manager. "With FastSend powering our Digital Print Manager, we can take our clients to the next level of speed and security." The initial agreement calls for the inclusion of FastSend at the Charrette Corporate site and their 21 service centers in the United States. Eventually, the capability will be expanded worldwide.
