Thursday, February 08, 2001

Press release from the issuing company

WASHINGTON, D.C. Feb. 7, 2001- Automated Graphics, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Consolidated Graphics Inc. (NYSE: CGX - news) and a North American leader in commercial printing services, and RightsMarket Inc. (CDNX: RTS - news), a leader in digital publishing technology, today jointly announced a strategic reseller partnership. Under this agreement, Automated Graphics will utilize their extensive client base in the publishing and printing industries to promote and sell RightsPublish, the end-to-end digital rights solution developed by RightsMarket. A RightsPublish training program for the Automated Graphics' sales force will supplement the co-marketing of these services. "We are proud to welcome Automated Graphics as a strategic partner and value-added reseller," said Al Saurette, Chief Executive Officer, RightsMarket Inc. "This partnership is an excellent validation of our technology and the business opportunities that will be mutually available to Automated Graphics and RightsMarket. Our technology combined with Automated Graphics' expertise and long-standing relationships in the printing industry will allow us to leverage significant opportunities in the rapidly emerging digital publishing world." "RightsMarket offers a complete digital publishing framework including digital rights management (DRM), e-commerce and content syndication without the need to perform costly website redevelopment and integration of components from multiple technology vendors. This means that publishers can offer both print-on-demand and secure digital delivery from a common source," said Charles White, President and Chief Operating Officer of Consolidated Graphics. "We continue to seek out leading edge solutions for all of our CGX customers and this partnership demonstrates our commitment to offering emerging digital publishing technologies."
