Expo Perfect Place for Xrite's Latin American Excursion

Press release from the issuing company

MIAMI – February 2, 2001 –Expanding its presence with its own exhibit at Graphics of the Americas, X-Rite, Incorporated (NASDAQ/NMS:XRIT), a leading global provider of precision measurement devices, systems and processes that measure color, light, and shape, will show its award-winning color measurement product line at its own Graphics of the Americas exhibit this week. X·Rite’s decision to exhibit reflects the company’s plan to forge direct relationships with the Latin American marketplace, including both customers and a growing dealer network. Guiding X-Rite’s expansion is new Latin American Sales Manager Juan DaSilva, who together with X-Rite staff will meet with current and prospective dealers and customers at X-Rite booth #2221. On display at the booth will be working versions of X-Rite’s most popular and new graphic arts and digital imaging products, including 500 Series Spectrodensitometers, the 341 and 361/T Film Densitometers, the award winning DTP41 Auto Scan Spectrophotometer , Monitor Optimizer, Digital Swatchbook, QuickCal Densitometer, an Auto Tracking Spectrophotometer (ATS) for sheetfed presses, and the ATD News, an Auto Tracking Densitometer engineered for newspaper applications. X-Rite’s Worldwide Product Marketing Manager for Graphic Arts, Iain Trevor Pike, says that while Latin America has always been a strong segment for X-Rite, the region shows considerable growth potential in the next few years. “We’ve made a much greater effort on a global basis these last five years, and at the same time we’re seeing a new wave of overall Latin American activity,” Pike explains. “Latin America has leapfrogged some incremental technologies because of various economic and technical reasons, and now it’s worked to their advantage,” Pike continues. “The investments they are making today, in the latest automated technologies, are bringing them highest productivity and fastest payback on equipment.”
