2/14/01 - Presstek has put its digital imaging stake firmly in the ground as the leading supplier of DI solutions to the industry. A plethora of new product and partner announcements over the last 16 months have made Presstek ìthe one to watch. At On Demand, Presstekís DI leadership will clearly be demonstrated at the Xerox exhibit with the new DocuColor 233 DI, the A3 size, four-color sheetfed Presstek DI- enabled press. At Presstekís own booth (#142) the company is showing the Dimension400, the subject of a lot of industry buzz and perhaps the most affordable computer-to-plate (CTP) system at On Demand. Why Presstek CTP? Because the combination of the Dimension400 and Anthem thermal plates, which require no chemical processing, provide many of the benefits of direct-to-press with the affordability of CTP. This allows a greater audience, including smaller to mid-size printers, to compete effectively in the ìOn Demandî market.
