ScenicSoft and Arden Announce Pandora OEM Agreement

Press release from the issuing company

Lynnwood, Washington, January 29, 2001 - ScenicSoft, Inc. has signed an OEM agreement with United Kingdom-based Arden Software, adding ScenicSoft's Pandora(tm) packaging imposition software to Arden's product portfolio. Arden is the publisher of the CAD/CAM Impact product line used by both package designers and die makers. Arden is one of the top three companies worldwide providing complete CAD/CAM software solutions to the international packaging marketplace. Available for both Windows and Macintosh platforms, Pandora is the first packaging product based on native PDF. Furthermore, Pandora supports the Adobe Portable Job Ticket Format; accepts native PDF files and popular graphic and die artwork file formats; and outputs both PDF and PostScript. Capable of automatically snapping artwork to die layouts and enabling color remapping, Pandora also provides the ability to place user-definable "Smart Marks", which automatically place and size themselves to match the press, imagesetter, or CTP technology to be used. Pandora works well with all leading PostScript and PDF workflow systems, such as Agfa(tm) Apogee(tm) and CreoScitex(tm) Prinergy(tm). "Pandora is ideally suited to a broad range of printing and label companies that are looking for a packaging imposition solution, but do not want to purchase a costly, proprietary application," states Chris Rogers, Arden General Manager. "Pandora is the first and only solution based on PDF, allowing users to work with the DTP software they already have such as Illustrator, FreeHand, or Photoshop) to produce their base artwork."
