Worzalla Announces Hiring Effort as Demand for Books Soars

Press release from the issuing company

Wisconsin book printer hiring for production positions to meet demand for children’s books for at-home learning and entertainment

Stevens Point, Wis. – Worzalla, an employee-owned company specializing in printing high-quality children’s books, movie tie-in books and cookbooks, announced it is hiring for 35 open positions at its facility in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Worzalla cites an increased demand for books during the coronavirus pandemic for the need to hire additional associates.

“Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, we have seen an increase in demand for books of all categories, especially in the children’s books category for both education and entertainment,” said Richard Letchinger, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Worzalla. “Our customers across the country have been reaching out to us to print a variety of projects, both classics and new titles, to help educate and entertain kids at home.”

Letchinger says that Worzalla has worked on some popular titles over the last few months, including classics from the Dr. Seuss library of books, the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, as well as the Who Was…? biographical series from Penguin Random House. Worzalla is also printing educational titles from the Hooked on Phonics program and Nat Geo Kids.

To meet the increased demand for these children’s book titles and others, Worzalla is hiring for a variety of positions for its manufacturing team including machine operators and entry-level production. Part-time as well as weekend only opportunities are available. Worzalla offers on-the-job training for new associates and in-house training for those who want to improve their skills and advance their careers.

“What’s special about Worzalla is that we aren’t just making a product to ship to a customer,” said Brianne Petruzalek, Vice President of Human Resources at Worzalla. “With each book crafted, our associates are creating opportunities for readers to learn, imagine, and dream. They are making special memories by producing unforgettable and classic children’s books that will be read time and time again. We really are creating something that is so much more than a book.”

Worzalla offers its associates a wide array of benefits, such as expansive health coverage including 100% employer-paid dental and vision insurance, 80-95% employer-paid health insurance, HSA with employer contribution, and complimentary care at the on-site health clinic. As an employee-owned company, associates are also entitled to the company’s employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) and profit-sharing bonuses.
