Tharstern Integrates with Avalara to Help Customers Become More Efficient

Press release from the issuing company

Print MIS supplier, Tharstern, have integrated their software with AvaTax, the cloud-based tax compliance solution from Avalara. The integration automates the complex calculations of sales tax, VAT and GST across the different US states.

The Tharstern MIS, via AvaTax, now has full access to the list of sales tax rates in USA and Canada when calculating tax on a sales invoice, which means further automation in their customer’s workflows.

“Tax codes can be really tricky for our US customers, especially those who offer a wide range of products and ship across country. Finding the right tax code is time consuming and can be costly if the incorrect tax code is used. The integration will help reduce human error and increase efficiency.” Chris Burn, Head of Product at Tharstern.

The MIS integration also allows committal of compliant invoice documents directly to AvaTax for tax recording purposes.

Greg Chapman, senior vice president of partner management at Avalara said, "Tharstern understands the needs of its customers, and their Tharstern MIS offering reduces complexity for their customers in many ways. We understand that digitization of business processes is not an option, it is essential; we are proud to offer fast, accurate, and easy tax compliance solutions to our shared customers."

You can find out more about the integration on the Tharstern website, and more detail about the AvaTax software can be found on the Avalara website.
