Blanchard Systems, DALiM Software and SGI Donate Workflow System to NYU NEW ORLEANS, LA. -- Blanchard Systems, Inc. and DALiM Software announced that they have installed a complete workflow system including TWiST workflow and LiTHO page-makeup and digital-retouching software at New York University (NYU). SGI (NYSE: SGI) donated two Silicon Graphics(R) 330 visual workstations to power the system, ensuring that multi-user classes will be conducted without interruption. The systems will benefit students of the Graphic Communications, Management and Technology program. The systems will allow future managers in the graphic communications industries to receive hands-on experience in workflow management. By familiarizing themselves with cutting-edge technology, it provides them a perspective upon which to make production and capital investment decisions in the real world. The NYU Graphic Communications, Management and Technology program develops executives for roles in graphic communications organizations, including publishers, printers, design firms, and service providers. Students receive a well-rounded education in both the technology and the production of graphics as well as in the business of running a graphics-oriented organization. "We are gratified by the donation made by DALiM Software, Blanchard Systems and SGI," noted Greg D'Amico, director of the Graphic Communications, Management and Technology program at NYU. "This will allow future executives the opportunity to familiarize themselves with advanced technology and understand production issues that will affect business decisions they will face in the future."
