CreoScitex Provides New Standalone Trapping Tool

Press release from the issuing company

VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA -- CreoScitex, a division of Creo Products Inc. (NASDAQ: CREO; TSE: CRE) is releasing CreoScitex Supertrap, a standalone version of the industry leading PDF trapping solution from the Prinergy(tm) workflow management system, for use with all CreoScitex workflow products, such as the Brisque(tm), PS/M and iMPAct workflow systems. CreoScitex Supertrap is also available to users of most other PostScript 3 workflows. CreoScitex Supertrap is an Acrobat(R) plug-in that allows Brisque, PS/M and iMPAct users to interactively perform sophisticated vector-based trapping tasks while retaining the open standard of native PDF files. This cost-effective independent application, running on both Windows(R) and Macintosh(R) OS platforms, offers the same vector-based PDF trapping functionality as Prinergy. As with the integrated version, CreoScitex Supertrap is a native PDF-to-PDF object-based trapper with a wide range of trap creation and modification features. Complex traps are created as separate vector objects and are based on the neutral density of adjoining vector or CT objects. Each trap object can be modified independently by adjusting any of the trap parameters such as width, direction or color.
