Reston, Va. – APTech invites registrants to its third webinar on Vote By Mail: “Ballot Security and Moving the Ballot Through the Process,” on June 24 at 3:00-4:30 p.m. This free webinar will continue to explore America’s election system and focus on the private and public stakeholders that are coming together to ensure voting is safe, secure, and accessible to all. Learn the considerations vendors and election officials alike need to be aware of as they are designing their system and working with their respective partners.

“The increase in vote by mail is materializing, as we have seen in multiple primaries already,” says Thayer Long, President of APTech. “It is critical that the PRINT industry explore this topic and come up with ways to ensure security and access.”

During this 90-minute collaborative program between the National Vote at Home Institute, and the Association for PRINT Technologies, multiple aspects and considerations of ballot security using Denver, Colorado as a case study will be discussed. Hear from election officials and technology experts on how each ballot is printed, mailed, tracked, and verified throughout the process.

Casting a ballot by mail is nothing new, but it is certainly grabbing headlines. Some experts estimate that ballot mail could represent as much as 70% of all ballots cast in the 2020 election. As a result, understanding the security around ballot mail is critical.
