W+D Sells Vision Graphics its Second BBB700 Inserter for Vote by Mail and Direct Mail

Press release from the issuing company

Lenexa, Kan. – W+D North America announces the sale of its second BB700 S2 high speed inserter to Vision Graphics, Inc. of Denver, CO, to support its growth of vote-by-mail processing. According to Mark Steputis, COO of Vision Graphics, “We have already had more than a decade of vote-by-mail election ballot and political direct mail experience, recently expanding with W+D’s BB700 and Halm I-Jet inkjet envelope printer platforms. Our third W+D deployment in Denver will enable us to provide several million vote-by-mail ballots per election cycle as states expand their own vote-by-mail offerings. Each high-speed inserting platform will have the newest, most advanced features, both in hardware and software technology, to support the need for highest yields while maintaining 100% integrity throughout the process. We look forward to helping with the rapid expansion of vote-by-mail throughout the US.”

“We’ve also found that the BB700’s ease of operation and flexibility in handling a wide variety of products makes it the perfect direct mail machine, regardless of the complexity of the program,” added Steputis. “And as more complex mail marketing projects emerge, this multi-functional system allows us to serve those needs and help with our customers’ expansions.”

“This is important to us, as the W+D flexibility allows us to keep the BB700 busy year-round, regardless of application or market niche. While sophisticated enough to handle the most demanding vote-by-mail production and integrity requirements, it is not just a vote-by-mail machine.”

Andrew Schipke W+D VP Marketing and Strategic Sales notes” we are now seeing forward thinking companies looking at new growth segments when configuring their inserters. Our vote by mail and intelligent direct mail inserters have a number of technical similarities. With just a few upgrades to workflow software and hardware we can configure our new inserters so that that they can serve both direct mail and ballot markets”.
