Former 15 Year Avery Dennison Executive Joins Banta as President

MENASHA, WI . . . Banta Corporation (NYSE:BN) has named Stephanie A. Streeter President and Chief Operating Officer of Banta Corporation. Streeter is a former senior executive of Avery Dennison Corporation and was most recently Chief Operating Officer of idealab!. Donald D. Belcher, previously Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Banta Corporation, becomes Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He said the appointment of Ms. Streeter to the corporation's second highest executive position reflects her past success in leading and profitably growing companies similar to Banta in size and operational characteristics. "Stephanie is a seasoned and highly effective business executive with exceptional strategic vision, and an outstanding track record of leading a rapidly growing and successful global enterprise," says Belcher. "Her experiences with both traditional manufacturing operations and Web-based technology ventures will be immediately valuable in guiding our continued growth and development. She will oversee all operating activities of the corporation, as well as contribute significantly to the creation and execution of long-term strategic initiatives to ensure Banta's continued success." Streeter, 43, spent 15 years at office products leader Avery Dennison, where she advanced through several key executive management positions of increasing scope and responsibility. Her most recent position at Avery was Group Vice President for Worldwide Office Products, a $1.4 billion division with 41 operations worldwide.
