Lexmark Demonstrates Mac OS X Compatible Printer Drivers

MACWORLD EXPO - SAN FRANCISCO, -- As part of its continuing commitment to the Macintosh community, Lexmark International, Inc., today demonstrated new printer drivers for its Z22, Z32 and Z52 Color Jetprinters that support Mac OS X. Driver software may be downloaded from Lexmark’s web site at www.lexmark.com/drivers/, shortly after Apple’s final release of Mac OS X. "Mac OS X is an impressive modern operating system and Lexmark is excited to extend its support," said Tim Craig, president of Lexmark's Consumer Printer Division. "Lexmark has established itself as a resolution leader in the printer industry and our easy-to-use printers complement the new Aqua interface with sharp and vivid output that matches the brilliance of the images on the screen." "With state-of-the-art technology throughout, including a new Quartz 2D graphics engine for stunning graphics and broad font support, Mac OS X offers a broad range of imaging capabilities," said Clent Richardson, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. "Lexmark's line of top-notch inkjet products is a fantastic complement to Mac OS X, and we are thrilled with the company's support.” Mac OS X’s “Aqua” interface offers an easy-to-use environment, with vivid colors, crisp graphics and an intuitive, uncluttered design. Lexmark helps users ensure their printed images look as rich and sharp as the images on the screen with print resolutions of up to 2400 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi). Lexmark inkjets deliver a package of ultimate ease-of-use features designed to enhance productivity and give the user a hassle-free experience. Lexmark’s signature features, available in the Z-line, include: Accu-Feed™ paper handling system that virtually eliminates jams and misfeeds and quick open-and-load cartridge installation.
