Xitron Acquires Graphics Integration Technologies and Graphics Integration LTD

Ann Arbor, Michigan -- Xitron, an independent developer and integrator of Raster Image Processors, announced today that it has acquired the assets of Graphic Integration Technology (GIT) and Graphic Integration Limited (GIL). Xitron America will employ Peter Aldridge, principle of GIT. Andrew Aldridge, principle of GIL along with certain employees will be the nucleus of the newly formed Xitron Europe LTD. Xitron Europe will be located in Swindon, United Kingdom. Xitron Europe will support and service all of Xitron’s European customers. The acquisition is part of Xitron’s long term strategy to continue to lead and grow the independent RIP and prepress workflow market. With this acquisition, Xitron will expand it's product line to include color copier RIP's, interfaces to additional color printers and provide production color expertise. "This acquisition adds GIT/GIL’s engineering and support expertise to Xitron’s sales and marketing expertise." explains Jim Thrush, President, Xitron. "Over the past several years Xitron and GIT have partnered on several successful projects." The addition of the GIT/GIL interfaces expand the range of output devices Xitron supports. This acquisition represents our continued growth in the independent RIP and prepress workflow product market. Both Xitron and GIT/GIL customers, dealers and distributors will benefit from the increased service, support, product offerings and technical innovations brought about by this acquisition.
