Prograf Digital Service Launches National Field Service Network

Covington, KY – OCTOBER 8, 2008 – Prograf Digital Service (PDS), a leading provider of exceptional service experiences, printing equipment and supplies, today announce a new service offering for equipment manufacturers - the fractional Service Engineer  (fSE). The new service provides digital printing suppliers immediate access to a national network of exceptional, highly skilled product specific field service representatives to serve their local market needs. Rather than incur the costs of hiring additional service personnel, companies are able to partner with PDS's trained staff at a fraction of the expense while improving response and uptime for their customers.

This innovative concept was developed in direct response to the growing digital printing market's demand for same day response and expanded service level agreements (SLAs) requiring specific uptime commitments. Prograf Digital Service has a large network of Service Engineers located throughout North America who are trained to represent PDS partner companies at the support levels they require to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Manufacturers are now able to customize and scale their service and support programs to meet their client's needs without requiring the expense of additional internal field service engineer staff.

President, Joe Musgrave, explains, "The local Service Engineers are trained and certified on the supplier's products, and report directly to the manufacturer who dispatches them for installations, break fix service and preventative maintenance calls. We work closely with the supplier to determine their service needs based on their existing client installed base and forecasted sales within a geographic area. Our experts are available to help with pre and post sales efforts to ensure overall customer satisfaction and sales growth."

PDS's fractional Service Engineers  solutions are priced on a combination of current customer base equipment installations, expected number of service days, size of territory, and forecasted sales growth. The fractionalService Engineers  are managed, authorized, and certified by the manufacturer allowing them to provide a single service point to their accounts without having to rely on third-party service solutions.
