W+D/BICMA Hygiene Group Develops Production System for Protective Face Masks

Facing the dramatic supply shortages for protective face masks, W+D/ BICMA hygiene group are working quite diligently to retrofit an existing W+D /BICMA hygiene machine for these products. A Technikums model hygiene machine will soon be modified to produce up to 100,000 face masks daily.

Simultaneously W+D/BICMA are developing a new high-speed system, that may fully automatically produce more than 500,000 face masks per day.

Both projects are implemented in close cooperation with Reifenhäuser Reicofil as material supplier and Herrmann Ultraschalltechnik as supplier for system components.
