Viewpoint Creates ZoomView Partner Portal for Photoshop 7.0 Users

Press release from the issuing company

NEW YORK--April 23, 2002--Viewpoint Corporation, a world leader in innovative graphics software, today announced the launch of the ZoomView / Adobe Photoshop 7.0 partner portal, an online resource center for publishing and deploying ZoomView content. The new portal provides Adobe Photoshop 7.0 users the ability to save photo files in Viewpoint's premier ZoomView format, and directly license the technology from Viewpoint. While traditional Web pages display low-resolution thumbnail images, Viewpoint ZoomView, a serverless "pixels-on-demand" image transmission technology, permits the easy deployment of large, print-quality images online, allowing users to zoom in, pan around, and examine the finest of details without special graphics cards or high-speed Internet access. "Viewpoint ZoomView allows Thomasville to fully showcase the rich detail of our digital images in a manner consistent with our other traditional marketing efforts. ZoomView is user-friendly and we expect our online consumer audience to enjoy a significantly more productive browsing experience," commented Leslie Morgan, eBusiness Manager for Thomasville Furniture Industries, a future commercial user of Adobe Photoshop 7.0. "The ZoomView Portal brings tremendous value to the Adobe Photoshop community by providing a single resource where they can take advantage of native ZoomView export in Adobe Photoshop 7.0," commented Andrew Cook, Viewpoint ZoomView Product Manager. "Here they can see examples, get templates, find support resources and, for as little as ten dollars per image per month, purchase a license to display their images online, making ZoomView the first rich media type that is accessible by non professional and power users alike." "The ZoomView partner portal provides a simple, clear path for Photoshop users to publish their high resolution digital images online in a meaningful way," commented Kevin Connor, director of product management for Photoshop at Adobe. "The portal gives our extensive user base access to all the resources they need to get ZoomView on their own Web sites and even their customer's Web sites."
