Lexmark Creates Category for Standard Register Patient ID Solution

Press release from the issuing company

DAYTON, Ohio--April 22, 2002--Standard Register charters new territory with its Positive Patient Identification System (Patient ID). Lexmark has created a new category on the Lexmark Converter List--Specialty Media for the Optra T series of Lexmark printers--in recognition of the performance of Standard Register's Patient ID solution on Lexmark Laser printers. The Patient ID wristband product is the only wristband label product proven to have a consistent and reliable performance on Lexmark printers. SR's Patient ID solution includes a laser-printable wristband and label combination. After processing, the wristbands contain human-readable and bar-coded information that can be scanned to identify the patient and ensure proper medication and billing. The wristband product is an integral part of an end-to-end solution designed to save time, eliminate errors, reduce costs and increase controls. "Patient admissions are a mission-critical process to virtually all healthcare facilities, and our positive patient solution is designed to accomplish this function with the highest standard of accuracy, efficiency and overall cost-effectiveness," said Eric Buchroeder, director of marketing for Standard Register Label Solutions. "It is gratifying to be the only wristband product on the Lexmark Converter List, reflecting the quality of our solution and the compatibility with Lexmark systems." Lexmark International, Inc is a leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of printing solutions such as laser and inkjet printers.
